The fortune-teller does not read the future like a book. They simply describe the archetypes and symbols they see on the cards. Then they help the player line those ideas up with real experiences in their own life — what happened in the past, what is happening in the present, and what might happen in the future. The cards are a mirror for your own story. You give them meaning.
