1. is not → isn't
เปลี่ยนประโยคบอกเล่าเป็นปฏิเสธ — ใช้ "is not" หรือย่อเป็น "isn't"
He is not my boss. = He isn't my boss. (เขาไม่ใช่หัวหน้าฉัน)
This isn't my desk. (นี่ไม่ใช่โต๊ะของฉัน)
This isn't my desk. (นี่ไม่ใช่โต๊ะของฉัน)
2. are not → aren't
ใช้ "are not" หรือ "aren't" กับ you, we, they
They are not employees. = They aren't employees. (พวกเขาไม่ใช่พนักงาน)
We aren't in a meeting. (เราไม่ได้อยู่ในการประชุม)
We aren't in a meeting. (เราไม่ได้อยู่ในการประชุม)
3. am not (no short form)
ใช้ "am not" กับ I — ไม่มีรูปย่อ "amn't"
I am not the boss. (ฉันไม่ใช่หัวหน้า)
I am not late. (ฉันไม่ได้มาสาย) — ห้ามพูด "I amn't"!
I am not late. (ฉันไม่ได้มาสาย) — ห้ามพูด "I amn't"!
4. Thai Tip: Always include "be"
คนไทยมักลืมใส่ "be" — ห้ามพูด "I not happy" ต้องพูด "I am not happy"
WRONG: I not a student. ❌
RIGHT: I am not a student. ✅ (ฉันไม่ใช่นักเรียน)
RIGHT: I am not a student. ✅ (ฉันไม่ใช่นักเรียน)
