This week we learn three things: how to observe card imagery closely, how to lay out a spread, and how to describe what we see in English using the Present Continuous tense — because when we describe a card image, everything is happening right before our eyes.

The three-card spread is the most elegant entry point into reading. Card 1 reveals what came before, Card 2 illuminates the present challenge, and Card 3 shows the direction or counsel. This is where every reader should begin their practice.

We will practise this spread in class — for now, master the three-card reading first.
